AEW World Heavyweight Championship Match
Jon Moxley vs MJF
The paradigm shift is banned in this match and they have done a great job of building up MJF. They have taken an approach of that MJF will bring change at the top and it feels like it’s a possibility. But as much as I love the prospect of an obnoxious MJF holding the world championship, I can’t see them pulling the trigger. It feels like Jon Moxley has a lot more left in the tank as champion so I can see him retaining and MJF will get another shot another day.
Winner and Still AEW World Heavyweight Champion: Jon Moxley
Mimosa Mayhem Match
Chris Jericho vs Orange Cassidy
The most entertaining feud on Dynamite at the moment comes to a head in a rubber match fought under Mimosa Mayhem Rules. The only way to win the match is either pin or submit your opponent. Or the other way is to throw your opponent into a giant tub of mimosa.
It really depends on what the plan is with Jericho going forward on who wins the match. If Jericho is to move on to a more serious feud I can see him picking up the win. But if there is no major plan, Orange Cassidy will pick up the win to continue his rise. Either way of the result, Chris Jericho will end in the giant tub of mimosa.
Winner: Chris Jericho
AEW Tag Team Championship Match
Hangman Page and Kenny Omega vs FTR
Page and Omega are at odds heading into this match and have held the tag titles presumably longer than originally planned. Don’t think we will see much of storyline progression between Page and Omega but the result will just add fire to the feud. FTR could be strong Tag Team Champions and also helps build towards the eventual Young Bucks vs FTR match.
Winners and New AEW Tag Team Champions: FTR
AEW Women’s world Championship Match
Hikaru Shida vs Thunder Rosa
This has the potential to be a great match but it’s another look at how AEW are wasting their women’s division. Instead of building one of their own, they have had to get the NWA Women’s Champion in for a quick rushed feud. I can’t see Shida losing but it wouldn’t surprise me if we do see her drop the title only to win it back in a couple of weeks on Dynamite.
Winner and Still AEW Women’s Champion: Hikaru Shida
Sammy Guevara vs Matt Hardy
Broken Rules Match
If Matt Hardy loses this match he must leave AEW. I can see Matt losing here and leaving for a little while and coming back as a new character even more deranged than before. Hardy is around to put over the next generation of stars and this would be a good string on the bow for Guevara
Young Bucks vs Jurassic Express
Only one winner here and that’s the Young Bucks to keep them strong on the road to facing FTR.
Winners: Young Bucks
Private Party vs So Cal Uncensored
This will be a showcase for Private Party and maybe we will see them earn a tag title shot for a episode of Dynamite. Can only see one winner here.
Winners: Private Party
The Dark Order vs Matt Cardona, Scorpio Sky and The Natural Nightmares
This will be a opportunity for the Dark Order to push on more and show their dominance. The payback for Cody injuries will come at a later date but this will possibly set up a future TNT Championship Match between Brodie Lee and Matt Cordona further down the line.
Winners: Dark Order
21 Man Casino Battle Royal
Winner receives a future AEW World Heavyweight Opportunity
AEW are holding another one of their battle royals. The concept is different and entertaining and brings a different feeling. It’s a hard one to pick but I’m going for Lance Archer to pick up the win.
Winner: Lance Archer
Big Swole vs Dr. Britt Baker
Tooth and Nail Match
This match has been bumped to the buy in which has caused a bit of controversy online. Fans have said its a storyline and match deserving of the main card and even came up as a question on Tony Khan media call. Never less it should be a highly entertaining match much like the feud so far with it taking place inside Baker place of work.
Winner: Big Swole
