We take a look at this Sundays NXT Takeover: In Your House show.

Backlot Brawl
Adam Cole vs Velveteen Dream
Adam Cole will defend his NXT Championship again against Velveteen Dream, but this time it’s Dreams last chance at the championship. This is a tough one to call as it’s hard to imagine both not in NXT. But the outcome feels as if it’s the beginning of one superstar moving up the ranks and joining Raw or Smackdown. If Cole is to win then Dream could head to Monday or Friday nights. If Dream was finally to win the championship then it could mark the beginning of the Undisputed Era changing brands.
Added into the mix is that this match will be WWE next cinematic match. Rumoured to be taped already, it supposedly features both men fighting in a circle of cars at night with development wrestlers surrounding them to generate noise. This bring backs memories of Shamrock and Blackmans match from Fully Loaded 1998.
What ever the outcome, Wednesday night will be changed forever and I’m going for Cole to retain.
Winner and Still NXT Champion: Adam Cole

Charlotte Flair vs Rhea Ripley vs Io Shirai
Charlotte has been across all brands as of late, she is everywhere. I can see a strong possibility that Ripley wins her championship back here from Flair but maybe pinning Shirai to set a inevitable one on one clash between Ripley and Flair. But if you look at the bigger picture where does Charlotte go from here after losing the NXT Championship? Does she go to Raw and fill Lynch is spot? Would be nice if they keep Ripley Flair 2 in the background until both are on Raw or Smackdown in the future but I’m sure we will get that match soon. I’m going with my gut and predicting a Ripley win.
Winner and New NXT Women’s Champion: Rhea Ripley

I think Balor will soon be looking at entering the NXT Championship picture and having a real go at it this year. I think that Priest will get a good showing against the prince but Balor will pick up a clean win to regain revenge.
Winner: Finn Balor

Keith Lee vs Johnny Gargano
Johnny Gargano is a changed man as of late with his new attitude, calling NXT a ‘Toxic Wasteland’ I can see him picking up the North American Championship. Candice LeRae may cause a distraction but I would see Gargano picking up a win without the help to continue to prove that horrible people are rewarded.
As for Keith Lee, if as I predict Adam Cole retains. Lee would head straight for the NXT Championship.
Winner and New North American Champion: Johnny Gargano

Karrion Kross has just his debut and already pushed into a feud with one of the top superstars on the NXT brand. I can see this just being the beginning of a series of matches between the two and Kross will pick up the win on this night. I can see Scarlett Bordeaux causing a distraction to show how important her presence will be going forward before Kross showing his strength to pick up the win.
Winner: Karrion Kross

This will be a match for everyone to get a chance to shine. Looking at it I think it comes down to which team needs to win more and who has the most focus. Candice is on a quest with her husband for respect and I think she will pick up the win for her team to continue this.
Winners Candice LeRae, Dakota Kai, Raquel González
The show on card looks like we should have a very entertaining evening on Sunday and one I’m looking forward too. With the theme as In Your House, here’s hoping we do get a version of the old set used in the mid 90s. Also teased by WWE is that Todd Pettengill will make some sort of appearance which will also hit the right nostalgia notes. Looking at the card though it’s a shame to see the tag division at a point where there is no stand out tag match that could feature, but I’m sure this is being addressed as NXT has always had a decent tag division.
